Step 1: Preparing the Subfloor

If necessary, address these issues by patching cracks with a suitable filler and leveling the subfloor using a self-leveling compound. Ensure the subfloor is clean and dry before proceeding.

For existing flooring, consider removing existing carpet or tile to expose the subfloor. If you are installing over concrete, it's advisable to check for moisture. If moisture is present, use a moisture barrier underlayment before laying down the vinyl planks.

Step 2: Installing an Underlayment
